Print Shop

Given Whitman’s deep interest in printing, this would be a great time to explore the print shop. I wish I could fit one of these courses into my schedule….

Later, when we get to Whitman, we will certainly visit the shop and do some activities. But take the class if you can.

Print Shop Workshops

Beginners’ Workshop: Introduction to Letterpress

Our free, non-credit Print Shop Workshops are open to students, faculty, and staff at Washington College and our Chestertown neighbors.  Come learn the history of the book and the printed word, and experience letterpress printing and bookbinding.

(Due to the hurricane, we’re starting a week later than original anticipated – thank you for understanding!)
Hope to see you soon,
